This is the components range that keeps a foot or castor installation serviceable. Rather than a complete foot or castor, it covers the parts that wear or are lost: replacement pads, threaded stems, locking nuts, swivel races, wheel assemblies, mounting plates and the fixing kits that go with them.

The reason a B2B buyer orders components rather than whole units is economics across a fleet. A machine shop with two hundred trolleys does not replace two hundred castors when the wheels wear — it replaces the wheels. Supplying the individual components, matched to the units already in service, keeps a fleet running at a fraction of the cost of swapping complete assemblies, and it avoids the waste of scrapping a sound bracket because a wheel is worn.

The parts that wear, and the parts that do not

Wear partsWheel tyres and treads, swivel races, pad faces and brake mechanisms. These consume with use and are the reason a component range exists.
Lost partsLocking nuts, plate bolts, T-nuts and anchor bolts. Small, easy to lose during maintenance, and cheap to hold in stock.
Durable partsBrackets, stems and mounting plates. These rarely need replacing, but they are supplied individually so a damaged one does not scrap a whole unit.
Assembly kitsA bagged set of everything needed to rebuild one unit, which is the form most customers order for a planned maintenance programme.

Why matched components matter

A component is only useful if it fits the unit already in service. A wheel of the right diameter but the wrong bearing bore will not mount; a pad of the right diameter but the wrong thread will not wind onto the stem. This is why we hold the component range against the same drawings as the complete units, and why the part numbers on a foot or castor we supplied can be used to order the components directly.

For a fleet that was bought from another supplier, the practical route is to send one worn unit. We will identify the components, match them, and supply them under our own part numbers so future orders are simple. That is a normal request and costs nothing.

Practical point: for OEM customers we will supply a recommended service kit with each machine — the components most likely to need replacing in the first few years, bagged and labelled. It is a small addition to the order and it removes the first maintenance delay from the customer’s schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy just a wheel for a castor?

Yes, provided the wheel matches the castor in diameter, width and bearing bore. Send the castor part number or a photograph and we will match it.

Will your components fit a castor from another supplier?

Often, if the dimensions match. Send one worn unit and we will identify the components and quote them under our own part numbers.

Do you supply a service kit?

Yes. For OEM customers we can supply a recommended service kit with each machine, bagged and labelled with the parts most likely to need replacing.

How do I identify a component I need?

From the part number on the unit, or by sending a photograph and the principal dimensions. We will confirm the match before you order.

Is there a minimum order on components?

Components are supplied from a lower minimum than complete units, because the point of the range is small, frequent maintenance orders. Ask us for the minimum on the specific part.

Send a worn unit or the part number

Tell us the unit in service or send a photograph and the principal dimensions. We will identify the components, match them, and return FOB pricing within one working day.
